Thoughts? I would appreciate any insight/recommendations on this - would love to get wireless Apply CarPlay in my truck. This probably would be the best case scenario. It would be cool if I could add lane watchers as well as a front camera - they claim it will work. I also have come across NavTool - has anybody tried their kit? Looks promising but would rather hear from someone who has experience with it. One of my main concerns with these radios is whether or not they'll show my AC temps & modes - not sure if iDatalink Maestro can fix that problem? The 2013+ trucks with Sync 2 are blessed with the ability to upgrade to Sync 3 that comes with Apple CarPlay whereas 2009 - 2012 trucks are stuck with Sync 1 that cannot upgrade to Sync 2 nor 3.įor those of you who have '09 - 12 and upgraded your stereo, what/how were you able to achieve Apple CarPlay (preferably wireless) in your radio? I know some of you have opted for T-style radio from Phoenix Automotive - I'd love to own one however I've heard it is a hit or miss, their support is not very good, and still have some bugs to work out.
